Bonus Blog

Even in death, he still made a mark when he was the one who ignited Achilles to fight once again. He made a mark by leading Achilles’ men to combat. He made a mark by fighting with Hector at the end and dying with honor after the hard battle. I wondered what if he lived? What if he killed Hector and it was him who was the man who donned his king’s armor and lived after fighting a prince of Troy?
Definitely still like the epic when Patroclos wins but I would like to see him turn on Achilles. Achilles has turned Patroclos into a great student but did not want him to fight. Therefore, when Achilles is sleeping, Patroclos will don his uniform and disobey his orders like in the book, but when he fights Hector, he will win then his pride will go up. He will challenge Achilles and learn that his master is still better. Still, with Achilles distracted, Troy will be invaded and get the others killed like Achilles and Agamemnon yet successfully capturing Troy under the hands of Odysseus, ending the war of Troy and Achaians. That is my version of the story.
Pride can really ruin someone even if it means that you’ll get what you want.

Third Blog- Patroclos

Who is Patroclos? Is he the great comrade of the legendary warrior Achilles? Or is he the warrior who was thought to be Achilles on a killing spree? No. He is both. A great comrade and a good warrior, Patroclos is one of the major turning points of the story. His death made the war into a more interesting fight. He is a good student of Achilles but he is also hot headed for he wanted to fight even though if Achilles asked him not to.
In his fight against Hector, he showed bravery. He fought hard and even if he lost, he turned out to be useful even after it when Achilles was ignited to fight. Battling Prince Hector meant that he was a good warrior, and Achilles going for revenge for his death meant that Patroclos was a good comrade to him for Achilles showed great loss.
Even if he died, his name will be remembered. Patroclos, to the Greeks or to Achilles, is a good warrior and a great comrade. Achilles has his soft side for him.

SECOND BLOG- ACHILLES, what kind of warrior is he

Every warrior in war is responsible for the things he does in there. For me, it changes their life at the moment they step in the battlefield.  If a warrior has killed many of his enemies in battle, their pride goes up. Because of pride, men in war lose their respect to others. Strong men who overpower weaker ones are usually the cause of pride. Thus, creating havoc not only outside of a man but also inside.
Diomedes is a strong man who lives to fight. Him killing a lot of Trojans was fine but wounding the Gods was too much. His pride on killing has made him think he is invincible, thus attacking Aphrodite and Ares. What he did not know was that he was now controlled by power. Many others got this kind of corruption. The archer that thought he brought down Diomedes was also one.
Power is the reason why one tries to get something, yet through the course of destroying the human soul. Corruption happens. War brings out the best in skills yet the worst in character. Only people risking their lives would do that for fame.
